چکیده

The allelic variations in a diversity panel of 353 potato accessions, including 256 accessions belonging to Solanum tuberosum sub spp. tuberosum, 49 andigena, and 48 Indian varieties were analysed using 25 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. SSR profiles revealed high levels polymorphism distinctness among the studied. A total 343 alleles markers observed highly diverse tetraploid accessions. number produced per varied from 8 for marker STM1053 STIKA. polymorphic information content (PIC) ranged 0.66 (STG0010) 0.93 (STM1106) with an average 0.82. cluster analysis divided population into five major groups. association mapping late blight resistance identified six general linear model (GLM), out these significance three was reconfirmed mixed (MLM). findings this study suggest that SSRs are appropriate evaluating genetic structure within different germplasm collections. significant across observed. Moreover, could be useful marker-assisted selection (MAS) breeding (LBR).

Genetic diversity and association mapping in the Colombian Central Collection of Solanum tuberosum L. Andigenum group using SNPs markers

The potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is the fourth most important crop food in the world and Colombia has one of the most important collections of potato germplasm in the world (the Colombian Central Collection-CCC). Little is known about its potential as a source of genetic diversity for molecular breeding programs. In this study, we analyzed 809 Andigenum group accessions from the CCC using 5968...

MOLECULAR DIVERSITY ANALYSIS IN POTATO (Solanum tuberosum L.) THROUGH RAPD MARKERS

Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers were used to study the molecular diversity of 12 popular potato varieties in Bangladesh. DNA was extracted from tender leaf sample for PCR amplification. The PCR amplified DNA profile was visualized on 2% agarose gel, staining with ethidium bromide. Eight RAPD primers were used to evaluate the genetic diversity of potato varieties. Some total of 3...

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Iranian tulips revealed by EST-SSR and NBS-LRR Markers

The genus Tulipa L. (Liliaceae) comprises about 100 species and Iran is considered as one of the main origins of tulips. In this research, genetic diversity and population structure of 27 wild populations of tulips collected from Iran were studied by 15 highly polymorphic and reproducible expressed sequenced tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers and 8 nucleotide binding site (NBS)-enzyme...

Identification of Novel Associations of Candidate Genes with Resistance to Late Blight in Solanum tuberosum Group Phureja

The genetic basis of quantitative disease resistance has been studied in crops for several decades as an alternative to R gene mediated resistance. The most important disease in the potato crop is late blight, caused by the oomycete Phytophthora infestans. Quantitative disease resistance (QDR), as any other quantitative trait in plants, can be genetically mapped to understand the genetic archit...

Genetic diversity analysis and population structure of some Iranian Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) landraces using SRAP Markers

Fenugreek is one of the important edible and medicinal vegetables that have a long history of cultivation and consumption. Characterize the extent of the genetic diversity among landraces will provide a good context for future breeding programs and genetic resource preservation. Genetic diversity and population structure of 88 individuals of eight landraces of Iranian fenugreek evaluated based ...
